China raises Nepal aide 5-fold to compete with India.

WangThis is what a headline from India’s top newspaper read following China’s benevolent gesture to increase its aide to Nepal in Kathmandu.

The Indian jealousy beginning colonial times.

China has thus pledged to increase its aide from $24 Million to $128 Million—- an increase by 433% annually.

Whereas the Chinese did it quietly at the foreign minster level meeting held in Kathmandu, December 26, 2014, on the other hand the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his August, 2014 visit to Nepal while addressing the Constituent Assembly declared in a humiliating manner (listen to his speech in Youtube) that his country was giving Nepal a $1 Billion soft-loan.

Alms to BAHADURS and yet there was non-stop clapping for Modi in the Nepal CA.

After the bilateral talks led by Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi and his Nepali counterpart Mahendra Bahadur Pandey in Kathmandu the announcement was made at a joint press meet. The Indian media claims it is because China wants to counter the Indian aide.

The Chinese have also vowed to support Nepal on nine fronts, so declared Foreign Minister Pandey. Those include education, health, infrastructure, water resource, tourism, social security, security, science and technology and law enforcement.

The Indians on the other hand are yet to make similar statement —which means they still want their age-old stranglehold to continue in Nepal.

Addressing the press meet Minister Wang declared that his country was totally committed to help Nepal elevate itself from a less developed nation to a developing nation by 2022.

“We are ready to support Nepal in whatever way we can,” said Wang.

He continued, “We are ready to invest in Nepal’s hydro-power sector… the development of hydro-power will not only raise living standards of the population but it will promote industrialization and create employment opportunities”.

In a statement that could bring heart into the mouth of the imperial babus seated in South Block and elsewhere in New Delhi, the Chinese Foreign minister said, “We hope Nepal becomes a bridge for China with India and South Asia.”

Minister Wang also emphasized that Nepal and China have common security needs…

He followed it up by stating that China wants to see relation between Nepal and India to grow stronger in the days ahead. The Indians on the other hand are yet to make similar statement —which means they still want their age-old stranglehold to continue in Nepal.

The two differing mindsets.
He also told the media that in the recent years China’s bilateral relation with India has been strong and hoped that it will attain new heights in the future. This he said only when asked by media men to reveal on the state of relations between the two countries.

Minister Wang also emphasized that Nepal and China have common security needs…

Wang on Friday held meetings with President Ram Baran and Prime Minister Sushil. He also attended a program to inaugurate construction of an academy for Armed Police Force.

Wang said that China means no competition with India in Nepal.

Addressing a dinner hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu Minister Wang said that China means no competition with India in Nepal.

“Nepal is a close neighbor of China and so is India. We have good relations with both Nepal and India,” he is quoted by media as saying.

“All the three countries can do something positive by working together. Each of the three countries can take benefit from this. All the three countries can cooperate with each other,” he further said.

“Nepal can be a bridge between two rapidly growing economies of India and China. We want Nepal to be the bridge between China and South Asia. We are ready to discuss it,” he said.

Expectedly, the attending Indian moles must have informed as to what the Chinese foreign minister spoke on the occasion. And needless to say, claim observers, Ambassador Chuntai finds himself comfortable in working with alien secret agents. China is weak in Kathmandu for multiple reasons, local intellectuals add. Time will tell. President Xi Jinping’s neighborhood policy is sure to fail in Nepal.
