Nepal and India are engaged in territorial disputes over Kalapani, Lipulek, Limpiyadhura area, where India constructed and recently opened a road to Lipulek Pass. This territory is an integral part of Nepal, but is occupied by India.

Nepal has been protesting India’s unilateral activities, encroaching Nepal’s territory. In response, India has claimed ownership over this territory.

With the adoption of a revised map, by Nepal Government, encompassing the territory into Nepal’s official map, events are likely to further flare up.

Experts on international relations, with special interests in geopolitics, Deepak Gajurel and Bindesh Dahal have tried to explore the core of the problem, and the major reasons behind this whole gamut?
